‘Drug Pusher’ Killed in Talacogon Buy-Bust

An alleged drug pusher was killed by the police in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. San Agustin, Talacogon Agusan Del Sur province last August 7.

According to the report of Agusan Del Sur Police Provincial Office, the suspect identified as Rodrick Jay Corvera, 25, drew his short firearm prompting the police officers to shoot him which caused the latter’s death. Corvera is included in the illegal drug watch list of Talacogon police.

The operatives seized a .38 revolver and four sachets of suspected shabu with estimated weight of 5 grams and street value of P59, 000.

Citing the record of the Regional Operations and Plans Division, a total of 214 persons were arrested; 5 were killed; and Php 36, 861, 529.00 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated since the implementation of Project Double Barrel from July 1 to August 8, 2016 in Caraga Region.
