10K Tree seedlings planted on BroadscasTreeing in Butuan City

Ten thousand seedlings of hardwood trees, Mahogany and Narra, were planted by Oplan BroadcasTreeing volunteers on August 6, early in the morning.

The tree planting activity was supported by the government, non-government organizations and people’s organizations. It started at 5 AM, in 40 hectares army reservation area of Camp Bancasi in Butuan City.

According to Kapisanan ng mga Broadkater ng Pilipinas-Butuan City chapter president Cathy Tobes that their goal is to protect the environment especially that there were unexpected calamities coming around the world.

FIrst Lt. Rey Pasco-commanding officer of 4th Civil Military Operations of 4th Infantry ‘Diamond’ Division of Philippine Army stated that the venue where they planted the tree will now be eco-tourist destination of Caraga Region after five years.
