Operation Against Illegal Gambling Continues

The war against all forms of criminalities including illegal gambling continued to gain positive result as more people involved in the operation of illegal gambling machine voluntarily surrendered their equipment to law enforcers.
On August 9, the Butuan City Police Office received an information that a certain alias “Daday”, of legal age, a resident of Libra St., P-8, Brgy. J.P. Rizal, Butuan City has voluntarily turned-over his illegal gambling machines.
Around 9 am of the same date, BCPO personnel led by PCI Peter Paul Plaza Manatad under the supervision of PSSUPT Percival Augustus P. Placer, acting city director, BCPO proceeded to the aforesaid place to conduct an operation against illegal gambling that resulted in the confiscation of one unit video karera machine and two units fruit game machines with undetermined peso coins at the residence of a gambler.
The said illegal machines were then brought to BCPO headquarters for proper disposition.
The response from the owner of these illegal equipment’s is the indubitable result driven by the concerted efforts of the peace-loving community and dedicated cops leading towards the possibility in the eradication of illegal gambling in the city.
