FSUU’s best lap pool in Caraga Region to open soon

On September 14, the Father Saturnino Urios University (FSUU) will be inaugurating its first ever swimming pool that will be located at the Archbishop Morelos Campus in Barangay Libertad.

The said swimming pool, which is already on its finishing stage, is set to be Caraga Region’s best lap pool.

The pool will help in providing the students’ needs for proper water training as well as communities need for water sports recreation. The construction of the FSUU’s swimming pool is headed by Fr. Kitz G. Butardo, the VP for Administrative and Student Affairs under the leadership of the University’s President Fr. John Christian U. Young. While the facility, is designed by Architect Nixon Parenas.

The 25 meters long and 15 meters wide swimming pool will be having its own reception counter, which would then lead to separate entrances for the shower rooms of men and women. Each shower rooms will contain 50 lockers. While its surroundings will be tended and landscaped.

Also, the outdoor cement benches of the pool can accommodate at least 100 persons. While the entire swimming pool, will be covered by tensile fabric roofing care and will be equipped with a lighting system for night swimming activities.

The inauguration of the 25 meters long and 15 meters wide swimming pool is part of the celebration of the University’s 115th Foundation Day.
