Illegal gambling machines confiscated by BCPO 1

Staff duty officer of Butuan City Police Station and Butuan City Police Station 1 led by PSINSP Agustin M. Navarro, officer in charge BCPS1, under the closed supervision of PSSUPT Percival Augustus Patanao Placer, conducted an operation against illegal gambling at P-5, Brgy San Ignacio, Butuan City, Last August 10.

The operatives responded immediately after receiving a text message from a neighbor informing that there were illegal gambling machines known as fruit game machine (kulalong) operated at the mentioned place.

The police caught in the act in plain view the said illegal gambling machines which resulted to the confiscation of six fruit game machines and the apprehension of the following persons who served as bettors namely: Roogo Senecio Okut Jr, 34 yrs old, and a resident of Rosales Street, Butuan City, Noel Painit Maglunob, 46 yrs old and a resident of Purok 11, Brgy Tungao, Butuan City, Catherine Naeg Casipit 43 yrs old and a resident of Purok Balantiyong, Brgy Maon, Butuan City and Reynaldo Macas Salado, 35 yrs old, married and a resident of Purok 1, San Pedro Montilla Boulevard, Brgy Ignacio, Butuan City and the two caretakers Bernardo Neri, 19 years old and a resident of Purok Camote, Brgy.San Ignacio and Rosalinda Pecatoste, 62 years old and a resident of P-3, Brgy. San Ignacio, Butuan City.

Meanwhiler, Okut was also found to have in his possession and control a drug paraphernalia and 1 gram heat sealed suspected sachet of shabu with market value of ₱11,800.00.

The search was done with the presence of Barangay officials, Department of Justice and media representatives.

Apprehended suspects and confiscated items were brought to BCPS1.
