Media festival held at Balanghay Hotel

Media Festival 2016, a three-day workshop which aimed to reinforce more knowledge about journalism, was held at Balangay Hotel, August 22-24.

Content and topics of the program were News Writing, Feature Writing, Editorial Writing, Sports Writing, Editorial Cartooning, Photojournalism, Collaborative Desktop Publishing, Broadcast Production (Radio and TV), Social Media Education and Coaching and Mentoring.

“Our role is to influence live," expressed by Jun Niño Nalipay, host of Maayong Buntag Kapamilya.

Speakers were Jun Niño, Rico Lucena, Emmanuel Villaruel, Ramesh Rosillo and Queenie Bronce, journalists from the mainstream media (print, broadcast and social media) from Cebu and Manila.

The theme of the Media Festival was “Media Education for Shaping a Responsible Generation."
