DOH Caraga implements Community-Based Rehabilitation Program
The Department of Health (DOH) Caraga Region is now implementing the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program Approach. The purpose of this program is to give immediate attention the growing number of drug users who surrendered to the government here in Caraga Region.
In line with this, the DOH Caraga will train different Municipal Health Officials, staffs of the Provincial and City Health Offices, as well as staffs of DOH Caraga, in preparation of the said program.
DOH Caraga decided to implement this kind of Rehabilitation Program, because as of the meantime the only drug rehabilitation here in Caraga Region which is located in Surigao City could no longer accommodate the growing number of surrenderees.
When the said program will be fully established, the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program will also adapt the programs being offered by the Regional Rehabilitation Center.
